Personal History/Information:
Sonya brings experience in customer service, human resources and office management to our K-State Research & Extension team. After graduating from Lansing High School, she attended Pittsburg State University, graduating with a bachelors degree in Psychology and Business and then received her masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She worked as a Human Resources Manager in Distribution in Ohio for several years before deciding to stay home for a few years with her children. Sonya and her husband were excited to relocate with their two young daughters back to Leavenworth County. After being involved with Leavenworth County 4-H for most of her childhood, she is excited to be a part of the program again as well as partnering with other areas of extension. Sonya spends her spare time sewing, crafting and spending time with her daughters.
Education:
Bachelors of Art in Psychology and Business from Pittsburg State University
Masters of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Chicago School of Professional Psychology
